Important and attractive tourist place next to the Sauer, 20 kilometers southwest of Bitburg. In 1619, the simple castle on a cliff above the valley was converted to a baroque palace.
About 4 miles southward are the beautifully restored castle gardens of lock Weilerbach gardens and the former ironworks.
